Pinatubo Brewing Point Opens New Shop
Formerly known as the Bierkiusche Snack House near Josefa Subdivision, PBP moved to a bigger location just a couple blocks back from Homs Printers and BPI Bank near Friendship Highway on Yukon Street at the end of June and is open for business.
PBP dishes out delicious, frothy beers that will make you drop that bottle of crap you picked up at Mini-Stop, and for as little as P50 per 330 ml, you’ll be able to get sauced for just a few bucks. Imbibe in the comfort of your own home if you’d like – because they also offer beer delivery.
Surrounded by mostly empty warehouses PBP’s new location is not only a one minute walk from the jeepneys on Perimeter, but has plenty of parking along the street as well. As a side note, there are plenty of spaces available around Yukon Street and this could very well grow into “Beer Alley” in the years to come.
Crazy Carabao Beer
CPI Café near Euroasia Hotel carries cases of Crazy Carabao, which we ran an article on just a couple months ago – flip to page 20 for details and prices. If you find yourself dining at Sheesha Avenue or Frontera Tex Mex, order a bottle of Kalinga Kolsch - you won’t regret it.
Baguio Craft Brewery
Flip a few pages back and you’ll see the story titled “Road Trip: Baguio” where there’s a bit more information than this. Baguio Craft Brewery (BCB) has about 40 different beers in their catalogue.
If they are all the way up in Baguio, why are we mentioning it here? Well, a new hangout called Blue Flappers just opened up a couple doors down from Chinabank at Marquee Mall. Blue Flappers is a wings and beer style resto, featuring BCB beers. This might be the only restaurant in town that has prices listed in U.S. dollars first, and peso second.
