The Philippines Central Bank (BSP) has included the Chinese renminbi (RMB) in the country's official international reserves. In an emailed statement on Monday, the central bank noted the yuan was included as of October 13. The announcement was made following the landmark state visit of President Rodrigo Duterte to China last week. On Friday, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez disclosed that the amount was 24 billion dollar in value.
