Facebook - the mother of all websites, has more Filipinas on it than any other site in this country. In my humble opinion though, Facebook dating does require a wee bit of finesse - especially for the older guys who aren't Facebook friendly and could care less about it. What alternatives exist that are not Facebook specific? I'm glad you asked....
There's an app you can used called "Tinder." I never knew about Tinder until a few months back. Once you download it and match with a few users the question is - how quickly can the leads be converted to dates and how easy/difficult is it done? Simple, give it a shot yourself. There's nothing wrong with trying to find a date, or a partner for a long-term relationship. You get a certain amount of "likes" to use per day before the application requests you to purchase credit - therefore, it benefits you to go ahead and use your free chances each day when you've got a moment.
This application, which is like some other version of cyber speed dating, allows a user to literally vote (swipe) the screen left if they don't like someone, or swipe their screen right if they do like them. Yes or no, plain and simple. Each girl has a profile that can only be activated with Facebook so you're also going to have to use a Facebook account to get everything started, but you don't have to continue to use it once it is set up with some pictures of yourself. Some of the girls will have albums with plenty of pictures imported from their Facebook accounts, and some will have their Instagram accounts connected. Instagram is a very picture-driven style approach to getting details out there (you'll even notice some duplicate names in the pictures below, I did that on purpose....so you could get an idea of the types of pictures they are using on their profiles). If you're already using this app like some friends of mine, you'll likely have matched with some of the same girls from the area.
Tinder, as lazy as it seems, allows users to choose the age range and geographic distance (up to 100 miles) of your potential match. I've noticed a lot of my matches are usually students or office worker types. That's not to say that there isn't also grip of ladies looking to meet up for "whatever" or girls that are affiliated with the area who are using it (Tinder) as an alternative to going out at night. The occasional few go out of their way to tell you they only want to meet for.....well, use your imagination I guess.
I'm not here to promote Tinder per se; Tinder is not the best app in the world but it does allow you to get more leads relatively easily. Dating websites and applications like this in general make it easier to meet someone in person after you've already gotten to know them quite a bit online. If I were you, I would establish a Plan B for moving them from Tinder to texting, Viber, or some other application that allows chatting since Tinder is relatively slow. Then, take the plunge and ask her out for coffee or something.
Pros: It's super easy to use once it is set up, and it is a digital pond chocked full of attractive and educated girls from all over the place.
Cons: Perhaps the two cons to using this app are - the chat function isn't great, it lags, and therefore sometimes you are not notified of new matches/messages right away (if ever) without manually opening it to check, and secondly.....like most dating websites, you have to watch out for the occasional ladyboy here and there. Matter of fact, while loading these pictures I might have already spotted one in this batch - see if you can find her/him.
Without further adieu, here are the screenshots from Tinder that I took over the course of about 1-month (click on any picture to enlarge):
