Phoenix Semiconductors Philippines Corporation, a Korean tech firm, will expand inside Clark Freeport Zone investing $170 million. PSPC and CDC just signed the project management agreement for the semiconductor assembly facilities. The Korean firm has already invested over $1 billion with Samsung as their biggest client.
A CDC report expects 1,500 direct employment opportunities to add to the current 1,573 staff working at the plant on the base. The project will see a new building housing 40,000 sqm of production floor space.
