Recent String Of Disappearances Baffles Everyone
Three Well-Known Foreigners Vanish in 4-months
The greater expatriate community has been inundated with stories of the disappearance of Lewis Yakich, a local hotel and club owner. He, along with Christian Michael Morman, a local investor and hotel manager who was kidnapped at gunpoint on February 24th, and bar owner Corne, who was also recently kidnapped from his home, are causing concern in some circles.
A plethora of news outlets and online forums have been alight with rumors – all of which are speculatory. Each chain of events seems to change depending on who’s sharing the story; however, it is clear that each man is missing and there have been no sightings or demands made. It is unknown if any of the aforementioned incidents are related.
As a precaution, one private security expert has suggested that any high-profile individuals in the area should be aware of their surroundings at all times to help thwart these crimes. Activating a “find my phone” or other GPS device found on most smartphones could be the difference between being picked up or vanishing for good.
