Just A Friendly Reminder, Don’t Forget To Back Yourself Up!
Technology has leapt so far ahead that actual photos albums and hard copy phone books are a thing of the past. In this day and age, many of us have begun to think in terms of megabytes, gigabytes, and in some cases – terabytes. A common mistake everyone tends to make is forgetting to back up personal files in heard the stories – someone’s residence gets burglarized and the contents of their laptop hard drive, including family photos and such, are lo forever. Often times the most valuable memories are the ones we leave on our devices thinking they’ll be safe. Everyone has heard of a friend who lost all their contacts because they accidentally dropped their mobile phone in a taxi somewhere or had it stolen.
Even a lightning storm can wreak havoc on electronic devices as they charge – and the Philippines is no ranger to crazy weather. A simple solution is for you to take the time to make a second copy of your files on an external hard drive that you can ore safely in a secure location. This way, when things do go awry (which they will, eventually) you’re backed up and good to go. Email yourself a list of all your contacts in your phone, so if your phone goes missing – not only do you have a back-up copy, but also you can access your email anywhere in the world to quickly art fresh again. We don’t even remember each other’s phone numbers anymore because we have become so reliable on mobile phones. Don’t let this happen to you!
